Campania

AMALFI WAS an unexpected surprise. After a nerve-wracking bus ride from Positano along the narrow Amalfi Drive, we arrived at this old city which appeared almost carved into rocky cliffs. It was straight out of a movie scene. The towns along the Amalfi coast are a testament to human ingenuity to build walkable towns in impossible topography.

There is nothing quite like the Mediterranean fronted by a colorful town.

The towering cliffs and ocean views give these towns a sense of character unlike any other in Italy.
