Mexico

MY NEIGHBOR to the west, Mexico was a country I never really visited until relatively recently. What I encountered when I traveled to San Miguel de Allende was nothing short of amazing. A vague familiarity with Antigua Guatemala reminded me of the richness that comes as a product of the encounter between local and European building traditions.

Perhaps what I most enjoyed about San Miguel de Allende were the strolls around town, which revealed a balanced mix of foreground and background buildings, all discoverable along picturesque streets. It was difficult not to photograph every single corner!

Vibrant colors, culture of outdoor life, and intricate architectural details, make this town an encyclopedia of lessons for future projects.
